What is the City of Fremont 50/50 Street Tree Program?
The City of Fremont is committed to enhancing the urban forest while partnering with property owners through the 50/50 Street Tree Program. This initiative provides financial assistance for the pruning, removal, and replacement of street trees, ensuring the health and beauty of our community’s greenery.
What the Program Covers
The City of Fremont 50/50 Street Tree Program offers:
- 50% reimbursement of costs for pruning, removal, or replacement of street trees.
- Up to a maximum contribution of $1,500 per tree, with a limit of two trees per property.
Street trees are defined as trees located between the sidewalk or curb and the road in front of a property.
